Alexander John Glomb
Attorney Alex Glomb joined the Law Offices of Pat Brown in September 2015.
Attorney Alexander John Glomb was born in Manchester, Connecticut. He holds a B.A. in History from the University of Connecticut. His Juris Doctor was awarded by the Blake Law Center of Western New England College, where he also received multiple awards for his writing and oral advocacy abilities. In both undergrad and law school, he participated in multiple social, athletic and professional groups. He is the older brother of a young man with Down Syndrome who has his own professional food service career with which Attorney Glomb assists. In his spare time he enjoys hockey, golf, motorsport and all things car related.
He has been practicing law since he was first licensed in 2011. He was first admitted to the practice of law in Connecticut, followed by admission to the District of Connecticut in 2013.
In 2012 Attorney Glomb began his legal career as an associate in a boutique Labor and Employment law firm in Waterbury, Connecticut, where the firm represented dozens of businesses across the North East negotiating labor contracts and ensuring compliance with a multitude of labor and employment regulations.
In 2014 Attorney Glomb began a clerkship at the Harford Judicial District. There he was the courtroom clerk for hundreds of cases, including all manner of pretrial hearings and trials.
In 2015 Attorney Glomb began working the Law Offices of J. Patten Brown, III. He routinely handles all types of criminal and personal injury matters in Connecticut state and federal courts. He has experience handling all manner of crimes, including serious felonies like Murders, Rapes, Sexual Assaults, Drug Conspiracies as well as more routine offenses like drug possession and DUI. His experience also includes disability rights under Americans with Disabilities Act and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, as well as employment rights under a multitude of state and federal statutes and regulations.
From a very young age Attorney Glomb has had a passion for ‘looking out for the little guy’. Whether that is an individual with a disability or those with severe economic disadvantages, he believes that everyone deserves the protections of the law and a zealous advocate to guide them through the system.
Attorney Delena Brown joined the Law Offices of Pat Brown in April 2016.
Prior to joining the Law Office of J. Patten Brown, III, Delena was an assistant law clerk with the Connecticut Superior Court for the Hartford Judicial District. In this role she coordinated proceedings, interacted with Judges, counsel, jurors and handled evidence and evidentiary matters in Part A criminal trials.
Delena graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2014, where she earned her Juris Doctor and Tax Certificate. While in law school, she served as Legislative Clerk to the House Democrat’s Caucus where she researched and authored memoranda concerning pending legislation, administrative law, and Freedom of Information requests. Delena spent two summers as a certified legal intern for the State’s Attorney’s Office in Manchester, Connecticut where she assisted with prosecution of felonies and misdemeanor cases. In the State’s Attorney’s Office, her duties included representing the State of Connecticut at arraignment, pre-trials, habeas matters, and meeting with victims and witnesses for trial preparation. Additionally, Delena participated in the UCONN Law Poverty Clinic and attended Social Security Disability and housing hearings on behalf of low income clients in the Waterbury area.
Delena is admitted to the bar of the State of Connecticut and the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut.
Attorney Laura-Hawk Allen joined the Law Offices of Pat Brown in November 2017.
Laura earned her Juris Doctor from Western New England School of Law, where she earned a CALI award for her work in Domestic Violence Law. Laura was admitted to practice law in Connecticut in 2016.
Before joining The Law Offices of Pat Brown, Laura worked in the field of social work. Laura worked closely with families and children to strengthen supports and resources and promote stability, particularly with low-income families. Laura has a passion for assisting lower income individuals and families and feels that everyone deserves to have someone who believes in them and will fight for them.

Attorney Jessica Skowronek joined The Law Offices of Pat Brown in September 2017.
Jessica graduated from Western New England University School of Law in 2016. During law school, Jessica was a certified legal intern for the public defender’s office in Connecticut. Simultaneously, she was a 3.03 certified intern for the Committee for Public Counsel Services in Massachusetts. Additionally, Jessica participated in the legal services clinic at her law school where she worked with Community Legal Aid on humanitarian immigration cases. In addition, Jessica received CALI excellence awards in Family Law and Employment Discrimination.
Jessica was admitted to practice law in Connecticut in 2016.
Prior to joining The Law Offices of Pat Brown, Jessica worked at a non-profit organization based in Worcester, Massachusetts in their immigration legal assistance program. Jessica assisted low-income clients in the preparation of various immigration applications including, but not limited to, citizenship applications, family-based petitions and green card applications. Jessica also represented clients in their pursuit of humanitarian relief.
Jessica has a passion for helping people who are going through a difficult time in their lives. Family has always been extremely important to Jessica and credits this as playing a very important role in her representation of her clients – Jessica always strives to keep in mind that every single client is someone’s family member who deserves compassion and respect from their advocate. At the end of the day, Jessica treats her clients the way she would want her family to be treated.
Attorney Corey R. Berry joined the Law Offices of Pat Brown in August 2018.
The stories she heard from her clients in the entertainment and beauty industries inspired her to earn her Bachelor’s Degree and Juris Doctorate to find new ways to contribute to people’s lives. She earned a B.A. in English from the University of Connecticut in 2010 and her J.D. from Western New England University in 2015.
During Corey’s career as a student, she volunteered for many organizations, including Connecticut Legal Services. It was her time at CLS that introduced her to helping low income families, involved with domestic violence, with their legal issues. She was hired by CLS as a Staff Attorney in 2017 and handled their family and immigration cases.
In her next role, Corey worked as a per diem Attorney for multiple well known attorneys in Connecticut. She had an opportunity to work in many different legal fields, including family, immigration, housing, and criminal. She also completed the required trainings to be appointed as a Guardian Ad Litem and Attorney for the Minor Child in family cases, and to be appointed for representation in Child Protection Cases assigned through Connecticut’s Office of the Public Defender.
At the Law Offices of Pat Brown, Corey continues to provide the passion she has for helping others and dedication to each client as if they were her only one.
Paralegal Hannah Sheard joined the Law Offices of Pat Brown in March 2018.
Hannah Sheard graduated from Salve Regina University with a Bachelor’s Degree is Psychology and from the University of New Haven with a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Forensic Psychology. Before working at the Law Offices of Pat Brown, Hannah worked as a Private Investigator for 1.5 years out of New Haven, CT and she was also a Personal Injury Paralegal in Plainville, CT.
Mike earned his Juris Doctor from University of Connecticut School of Law. While at UConn he participated in the Criminal Appeals Clinic assisting indigent clients appeal their convictions, worked as an intern with the Psychiatric Defense Unit of the Public Defender’s Office, and served as the President for the UConn chapter of the Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy. He also spent 6 months in Washington D.C. serving as an intern for the House Ways and Means Committee. Before joining The Law Offices of Pat Brown, Mike was working as a clerk at the Hartford Superior Court GA 14. Mike was admitted to practice law in Connecticut in 2018.
